Weekend Wrap-Up

Our weekend got off to a fun start with a date night! Our first real one of the quarantine.  The kids stayed with Keith and Cindy and they were all so excited.  Sounds like they had fun trying a new restaurant (Ben's Burgers to go) and enjoyed some late night basketball! Meanwhile, Kent and I picked up some nachos from a place I've always wanted to try then spent some time planning a summer vacation.  Fingers crossed we can go!

Kael was the winner of the marathon game of PIG!

Saturday morning we went for a nice long walk then picked up the kids.  Later we went to my parents' because my dad had some trouble with his tractor- the wheel had fallen off and it was stuck in the creek! Thankfully, Kent and Kael could help him get it out.  Their muscles come in handy pretty often!

While we were there we had a nice picnic on the treehouse.

Then, since everyone was already wet and muddy, we got out the inflatables! Kids had a blast.

What I love about this quarantine is learning that Kase can entertain himself for hours with just a rope and some big sticks!

Muddy and happy.

Saturday night Kael hung out with friends and the rest of us had a nice game and movie night.  We watched Back to the Future, which I don't think I had ever actually seen!

Sunday I woke up to this sweet surprise by the coffee maker from Kylee! She always takes the time to make things special.

Later she and Kent went and bought me some beautiful flowers!

The boys had cards for me too!

We had a nice family day- Kent and Kylee helped me do a little cleaning, we took a (chilly) family walk, jumped on the trampoline, went for a drive and played some games.

We also had a yummy brunch from Gilroy's!

That afternoon Kent took the boys to visit his mom while Kylee and I joined the girls on my side of the family for a tea party!

You guys, she is catching me! So tall!

It is always a joy to get the family together but this one was something special.  Because of the quarantine we all haven't seen each other for awhile and it was great having some girl time with my favorite people!

My mom had the sweetest tea party set up for us and we just had such a nice time catching up.  The (little) girls were all so lovely and well behaved and kept us entertained.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
