Weekend Wrap-Up

We've had a busy, fun weekend!

Thursday night Kael had his first freshman football game and it happened to be against Uncle Kevin's team! Love seeing Kael out on that field- it was such a beautiful night and Kael seemed so happy.

Kylee and Kellen had fun cheering him on!

Friday night was AJF night at the Jag/Hawk football game.  It was a PACKED house and the kids all had so much fun running around with their friends.  The game went to overtime which made it exciting and- the Jags won!

Vikings!

Kase had the most fun on the pull up bar during the game.

Kael and his buddies went to 5th quarter at our church after the game for pizza, pop and games, then they all came here for a sleepover.  I couldn't be happier for Kael with this group of friends he's found.

Saturday everyone was up and excited for the first Hawkeye game of the year.  Of course we played some backyard football! Later Kylee and I went to the Jag volleyball tournament- it was so fun being back in the gym seeing some great volleyball.  Then we had a nice relaxing night in watching the Hawkeyes.

Sunday we went to Kevin and Kaity's for lunch- so good to see the family.  Then I took Kylee to her friend's lake house while Kent hung out with the boys.

It was great to get to hang out there for a little while- the girls played in the water and did  a lot of tubing! So fun.

When I got home we stopped over at some neighbors to hang out while the kids played Capture the Flag in the dark. Such great summertime memories for them.

Monday we woke up with a fairly free day so we took off adventuring.  We landed at the Jester Park horse barn- Kase had such a fun time riding when we were in Oregon and had a blast checking out all the horses here.

Then we did some mini golf! It's such a beautiful course and Kael was so happy- he won! He was also our chauffeur for the day and got in some great practice driving!

We came home and Kael went to Adventureland with my mom to meet up with some family.  Meanwhile, Kent and I took Kase and a friend to the Briarwood end of year pool party.  It was the perfect day for it! Later we came back here, Kase played with friends, Kael had football practice and Kylee got home from the lake a little after dinnertime. We are looking forward to a great (short) week ahead!
