Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful my parents arrived home safely from Italy.

I'm thankful Kylee was excited (???) for her 5 year old shots.  In this case, the apple did fall far from the tree.  I can't stand needles.  She did AWESOME and the nurse said that Kylee did much better than most other 5 year olds and that I should be very proud of her.  I am. She literally did not shed one tear or make a peep.

I'm thankful Kase's 6 month check-up went well.  He also did not cry at his shots.  What?!

I'm REALLY thankful Aunt Chris was able to get us some of Kase's formula at half price.  We really appreciate it.  Kase's special formula costs double what most formulas cost so being able to get it discounted helps out so much.

I'm thankful for a night out with neighbors at the library's Trick-Or-Read event.  One of our neighbors happens to be a bit of a local celebrity- she is The Best Story Teller.  If you've been to Kirkendall Library, you know who I'm talking about. :)  Anyhow, the library was packed with kids dressed up in their costumes with all sorts of activities for them to do.  I wasn't sure how the bubble bath would work in such a crowd, so Kylee went as a Pajama Party girl for this event.

I'm thankful for the ghost pancakes Kent made. This is Kylee's "spooky face".

I'm thankful for some really fun neighbors (who don't have kids yet) who spoil all the rest of the neighborhood kids like crazy! They showed up at our house on Saturday for a football party and brought these hilarious suckers (with funny teeth on them) for all the kids.  Sorry the picture quality is not so great- I was evidently laughing too hard to hold my phone steady.

Later, Kylee is playing dress up, still wearing the teeth/sucker.

I'm so thankful Kase fell asleep in the middle of the party! Just like this. On the floor right in front of the TV with everyone being noisy all around him. This has never happened before.

I'm thankful for a fun little getaway this weekend.  We have been so busy lately and I'm really looking forward to spending some time together- just us five.

How's your weekend going to be?
