We had another long weekend here! The cold temps forced school to cancel Friday and Kase also had come home from school early on Thursday since he hadn't been feeling well so we are certainly clocking a lot of together time this winter- ha!
Thursday I had dinner with the XC moms and Kase felt well enough to hang out at a friend's house for a bit while Kylee worked and Kent had Jiu Jitsu (he's loving it by the way!)
Friday Kael was supposed to have a meet but after a crazy start to their morning and frozen fuel pump problems they were forced to bow out of that one. They rescheduled for a meet on Saturday in Illinois and Kael got fourth place! Friday Kase spent the day at the gym with his friends and later had a friend to our house while Kent and I had dinner with friends and Kylee worked.
Saturday we woke up and surprisingly neither Kase nor Kylee had plans so Kase somehow convinced Kylee to go to 7 Oaks with him and Kent and I decided to go along. Fun, spontaneous random Saturday afternoon and it was great. The chilly temps kept many people away and they had the slopes almost to themselves for the first part of the day!
That night Kylee had friends over for charcuterie, cookies and to sit in the hot tub. Kase also had friends over to watch the UFC fights. It was a full house which I always love.
Sunday Kael stopped by on his way to meet up with Keith and Cindy to go to the Hawkeye game. He and Emma had a great time with them! Kylee worked a double shift and Kase's friends had stayed over so he hung out with them most of the day. Later he went to the gym and did a baseball workout with Kent in the garage. We watched football and had a great day!
