Weekend Wrap-Up

Throwing it back a little to last week when Kylee had a Powder Puff football game.  She scored two touchdowns and was MVP! She had the best time and was so fun to watch.

Friday Kylee left early with her team for a big weekend at Rim Rock in Kansas! Kent and I headed down later that afternoon and Kase stayed with Keith and Cindy- we were so grateful for their help and he had a blast with them.

I know you can't see it in the picture but Kylee asked her coach if he wanted pink sparkles on his face like the team and she was shocked when he said, "sure!" so I had to get a picture of them.

We were expected/hoping to finish 7th and ended up 4th!! This was amazing considering it got very hot and a couple of the girls really struggled with the heat.  Kylee gave it her all and finished as the 6th Jag.  She was hoping for a better time but she was also dealing with a pretty bad cold, so all things considered I think she did really well!

Her bestie Emma ran in the JV race that morning and our JV team did great too!

Kase spent the night at a friend's house on Saturday night so we truly hardly saw him the entire weekend.  Kael had a fun weekend at Homecoming at Central and I've been waiting for him to send me some pictures especially of the infamous Lemming Race but I haven't gotten any yet.

Kase had a fun time hanging out with his friends all day Sunday and Kylee went to the gym with Sean- she was feeling a little better but not great yet.

Have a great week!

Weekend Wrap-Up

We are still pretending it's summer over here with the heat wave lately!

First off- another fun and successful cross country race.  Kylee had a great race on a very hot day and really seemed to be having fun with the team which I love to see.

Sean came all the way to Cedar Rapids with Grandpa Keith and Grandma Cindy to cheer her on! Big thanks to them for driving all the way there!

Friday Kylee and her friends hung out and made signs for their boyfriends for Homecoming this weekend. Kase and his friends had fun at the football game.

Big surprise- Sean said yes! Ha. They're so cute.

We headed to Clear Lake after Kylee had her long run and volunteered for Angels in the Outfield at Miracle League.  It was a beautiful weekend! Tubing was a big hit.

These two are peas in a pod (above and below!)

Kase paddleboarded a bit.

And these boys had a fishing excursion on Sunday morning.  This was part of Kase's birthday present they were finally able to find a time to do! Beautiful morning and they caught 50-60 fish!

Happy guy.

And of course he also had to show off a bit skiing no handed.  Love this buddy.

These two are so great also. Always willing to help out and they're just fun to be around. On the way home Sean said, "That was the best weekend ever!"

Thanks to my parents for hosting and feeding us!!!

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for a cute things Kase does.  He always texts me when it's raining.  No matter where he is or where I am, I always get a text.  Like when I was in Italy he texted me it was raining.  The other day he was out riding scooters with his friends and texted me that it was raining. I think it's so sweet and I hope when he's 20 he is still texting me every time it rains.

I'm thankful for Kase's first 8th grade football game! I thought he did a great job and more than anything I was impressed that he didn't forget anything like his cleats and also he looked confident and composed and knew the plays.  Good job, Kaser!
