Weekend Wrap-Up

Kylee had a fun weekend cheering her teammates on at State.  I'm so proud of how she handled herself- her qualifying time was faster than one of the other girls times but Kylee never complained and was just an amazing teammate and friend.  I'm so proud of our girl.

These three guys had a big work day Friday at the pond!

Strong man Kael was a big help!

When the work was done they caught some fish! What a picture perfect day up there.

I love that Kael fishes in this spot.  This was where my Grandpa Dean always fished.

My guy.  So happy up at the pond.

Kase had his last day of school Friday then had some fun with friends going out for ice cream afterwards and then I ran him up to the pond to join the fun!

This kid.  Riding his dirt bike around the pond to fish at every dock and not even wasting time to take his helmet off.

That sunrise!!

They woke up the next morning to this fish and this view so they were pretty happy!

Meanwhile Kylee was still having fun at track and one of her good friends did her hair- so cool!

Kael came back over to the pond and had fun stoking the fire.

And these crazy kid went swimming! Tyson and Kase weren't afraid of the chilly weather. Mandy, Brooklyn, Mom and I made our own fun memories shopping uptown. Then we went to the lake for awhile but I wanted to get home to see Kylee and Kase headed home with me too and had a fun night playing with friends.

Sunday Kylee had some grad parties and Kael had to come home from the lake to go to work. We waivered on plans for awhile but in the end decided for Kent, Kylee, Kase and me to go back up north to the lake! Simms were there too so we took a fun sunset cruise and also went out for ice cream- the place was busier than we had ever seen it! Fun memory.

The next day the sun was shining and these crazies played wiffle ball for a long time and got hot and decided to swim.  It was chilly!!!

Kent and Kylee took a drive and had a good time catching up.

Back out for one last boat ride.

Kylee and Kase both skied!!! So proud of my kids always saying yes to fun.

We stopped by the pond on the way home and caught a few fish!

That night we hung out with our good family friends when we got back to town.  A very fun, full, memorable weekend!

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for a long weekend ahead! Just wish the weather was going to cooperate a little more and be a little hotter. Either way, I'm excited to spend a few days with my people even though we won't all be available at the same time.

I'm thankful tomorrow is the last day of school for Kylee and Kase! BRING ON SUMMER!!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

It's been a busy few days around here!

Kylee ran at the District Meet on Thursday and had a season best time! Their 4x800 team won and punched their ticket for State! Love this picture of all the distance girls cheering her on.

I was so happy I was there to watch her!

Proud of our girl.  It was hot, windy and had been a long bus ride (the meet was in Council Bluffs) and she did awesome!

I got home and Kent was having a blast with the boys playing pepper and football in the front yard until the sunset. Love seeing my boys all have fun together.

Friday was Sean's last day of school so they took a cute front porch pic.

Kael and Emma spent the weekend at the lake with my parents.  It was chilly and windy but they had a great time and found plenty of ways to stayed entertained since they couldn't be out on the water.  Kael and Emma loved spending time with Ama and GT so thanks guys for everything for them!!

Buddy Holly crash site.

They took a trip to the pond and caught some fish!

And got ice cream of course!

Kael got a hook in his thumb and Emma took good care of him.

Cuties!

Kase had a tournament and played great all weekend!

He even hit a home run! The farthest ball he's ever hit!!! So happy for him. Just love seeing him having fun.

Sunday Kase had more baseball and it was nice we didn't have the 8:00 game! We lost but it was fun that Keith, Cindy, Kellen, Krue, Kylee and Sean were all there to cheer the boys on. Kylee and Sean hit a few grad parties, laid out and later Kylee and I had a meeting to go to for a potential upcoming school trip for her. Can't believe we're heading into the last week of school! Bring on summer!

Thankful Thrursday

I'm thankful Kael is home! He just brings a different dynamic to the house and family and I love it.

I'm thankful for the beautiful weather we've been having.

I'm thankful my parents' boats are in the water and ready for a fun summer at Clear Lake!

Happy Thursday!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Wednesday night Kylee and I went to support Sean at his college signing- super proud of him!

Thursday Sean and his fam and my parents and Kent and I all went to support Kylee at the conference meet!

Kylee and KK have been friends since they were very young- fun to see them out on the track together!

Friday we went to Simpson to watch Kael at his conference meet! So proud of this guy!!!

Saturday Kase had baseball so I watched his first game and a half then headed back to Simpson to watch Kael throw hammer.  My parents and Emma and her dad all came to cheer him on!

That afternoon Kent and Kase went to the Hawkeye baseball game with some friends.  Kylee and Sean went out for dinner with his family.

That night Kent, Kase and I went fishing for a little while.  It was a gorgeous night.

Sunday we were back to the ball fields.  I woke up to a very sweet note from Kylee and Sean. Kase's team lost. He was sad.  We came home and Kael got home! We helped him unpack and all five of us had lunch together then went for ice cream.  It was sweet to all be together for that on Mother's Day.  Then Kylee went to her boyfriends to lay out and Kent took the boys to the pond.  I enjoyed having the house to myself to organize Kael's college things and clean and do laundry. Later Kylee and I went out for our annual Mother's Day dinner with my mom, sisters and nieces.  Such a lovely tradition. It was a great night with the girls and I was happy my boys were out having fun too.
