Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful Kael comes home this weekend and will be home for a full week! Can't wait to spend time with him.

I'm thankful for a house showing the other day.  Things had been pretty slow but hopefully the market will pick up!

I'm thankful for walks with my friend. We've been walking once a week lately and it's always so good to catch up with her.

Happy Thursday!

Weekend Wrap-Up

It was a pretty chill weekend around here.  Thursday night Kase had HitTrax and did a great job and walked it off for the win again! Then he and Kent and I grabbed dinner at Sports Page.  Friday we had a pretty lazy night.  Kylee and Sean went shopping for matching pajama pants and Kent, Kase and I watched the fights and just hung out at home.

Saturday we had a lazy day.  Neither of the kids were feeling great so Kent went to watch Krue play basketball and later my parents took Kase to watch Tyson play basketball so we at least got to see a couple of the cousins play this weekend! Kent and I went out for dinner with Kylee and Sean and had a really nice time.

Shenanigans ensued as soon as we got home of course.  The kids had fun challenging each other catching quarters off their elbows- a true Grandpa Terry trick! Kylee was the big winner with 16 then somehow  these three got wrestling around and just being silly- fun to see them all having fun.

Sunday Kylee went to church to see a friend get baptized.  Kent and Kase went to the pond with my dad. They had a ton of fun and got some work done! Later Kylee went to a church event with friends, Kent had a Rotary meeting and Kase hung out with his friends.  A great end to a lovely weekend!

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for moms who take and send pictures of my kids when I'm not there!

I'm thankful for the amazing effort Coach Cogdill goes to in providing a very special banquet for the cross country team.  What a great night celebrating the season!

Kylee was voted Comeback Runner of the Year by her peers! Really special and meaningful award for her.  So very proud of our girl.

Kylee and the seniors she made blankets for.

What a fun group.

Letter winner and Academic Award winner- third year in a row for both of those awards!

The State Qualifying team and alternates always get these special photo boards and everyone signs them and writes notes to each other. The coaches also write notes and the things they wrote to Kylee just capture her so well and makes me feel like they just really know and understand her.  Also her teammates had some really great things to say about her!

Love you, Kylee!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday was a no school day and Kase had fun hanging out with his friends all day.  Kylee hung out with Sean (who is now officially her boyfriend) and they enjoyed a lazy day.

That night she went to a concert with her good friend and Kent took Kase to the Jag playoff football game.

Saturday morning Kase had HitTrax and did really well! Especially considering his foot is still healing from his stitches and he hasn't swung a bat for awhile.  He walked it off to end the game!

That afternoon Kael and Emma came to visit! It was so, so great to see them.  They were delivering some chocolates we had ordered from Emma and they also enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the rain while they were here! We had a lazy afternoon here after they left.  Kase hung out with friends.  Kylee was having fun at the Nike meet!

Sunday after church I started putting up Christmas stuff! Kase hung out with a friend then had a birthday party to go to.

It was a great weekend!

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful we got the chance to support the Jag volleyball team at State this week! Kylee and Kase went both games and I went one and took along some of Kase's buddies one game.  Heartbreaking loss but such a great season.

Happy Thursday!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Thursday night was trick or treat.  One of Kase's friend's moms always organizes a fun get together before and after. This year they all had matching costumes! So fun and I love that they still participate. Thankful for Kent who got Kase all ready while I was at team dinner for Kylee.

Friday was the State Cross Country meet!

The driveway got chalked the night before- love all these traditions.

Ready to go!

My favorite person to go to the meets with.  He is the best for helping calm my nerves and hands down the best tent setter-upper in the world.

Sean came to cheer Kylee on! Big thanks to Keith and Cindy for picking up Kase and bringing the boys all the way to Fort Dodge.

Little bro ready to cheer for Kylee.

Lookin' strong!

So very proud of this team and thankful Kylee got to be a part of it.  4th place!

Post race hugs.

Thankful for the friends who came to support her!

Love, love, LOVE our girl. So very proud to be her mom.

My parents were there to cheer her on too! Thankful for everyone who made the trip.  Keith and Cindy had to take off before we could snap a picture with them.

Kent and Kylee have such a special bond especially during XC season. She wrote us both the nicest messages on her ride home from the meet.  She's a good one.

The squad.

YES girls!!!!!!

These boot bros kept each other entertained all day.

The team went to Hickory Pak after to celebrate.  Thankful for an amazing coaching staff.

When we got home we took Kase for dinner then he and Kent watched a movie.  We were all exhausted! Sean came over to hang out with Kylee.

Saturday the kids slept in and Kent and I just got things done around the house.  It was so nice to have a free day. Kase LOVED playing in the rain and spent the day with friends.  Kylee spent the day with Sean. That night Kent went to Pella to see Kael's concert and Sunday I got to see him. My parents and Kent's parents and even my aunt Connie got to see him too! Thanks, everyone for supporting him!

Sunday Kylee went to church with friends then later the girls made blankets here for their senior cross country friends. Kase got his stitches out of his foot and did well with that. Thankful that he's on the mend!
