Weekend Wrap-Up

 Thursday night my sister was announced at the Jag/Hawk volleyball game for the reunion of their State Championship.  Fun night and Jags won!

Friday Kylee and Kent went to Kansas for the cross country team to race at Rim Rock.  What a cool experience for them! Kent said the course was really cool.

Kylee had a great race Saturday morning.  I'm so happy for her.

Friday Kase played with friends then had a sleepover here.  Saturday he hung out with a football teammate all day and we had a house showing.  Sunday we had another showing and Kase had a game.  They lost but he played great! He's really learning a lot this year and gaining confidence as a quarterback.

Sunday afternoon Kylee had an FCA event- she has really enjoyed being involved with that! She sure is keeping busy. It was another fun fall weekend! 

Thankful Thursday

 I'm thankful for the beautiful weather lately! I love fall!!!!

I'm thankful for the chance to see my nieces both play volleyball.  

I'm thankful for morning and evening walks with Kent.

Weekend Wrap-Up

 Sean asked Kylee to Homecoming in such a sweet way.

Kase and his team improved to 2-1 on the season with a big win over SEP on Thursday!

Friday we had a whole squad at Keith and Cindy's before the Homecoming game.  Kylee and friends, Kase and friends (including a few girls!) and then our friends came over to watch the game on the deck with us.  Such a fun night and so thankful for the awesome tailgate spot Keith and Cindy have!

Saturday was the Homecoming dance! We met up with everyone to take pictures at the Rose Garden by the Art Center.  A great group of kids!

It got pretty hot out so I think the group was happy when pictures were done and they could head to Americana for dinner!

Sean found a rose on the ground and gave it to Kylee.  So sweet.

Kase spent the day at a lake with his friend.  They are getting pretty good skiing and Kase even got to wakeboard and surf! He picked it up really quickly and loved it. 

Kent and I enjoyed a date night at our favorite spot Saturday night as the kids all got home late.  Sunday we were having an open house so it was a busy morning getting ready for that and in the end we didn't have a very good turnout but oh well.  If it's meant to be, it will be.

Kent took the kids out for lunch while I quickly cleaned then we camped at Keith and Cindy's during the open house.  Kylee even got to try Kase's dirt bike!

That night Kylee had a bowling thing for a school group then Sean came over.  Kase spent the night at a friends. Monday they didn't have school. Kase spent the day with friends then had football. Kylee slept in, did homework- practiced her speech for Spanish with me and she sounded great! Later she had a haircut. XC practice then FCA.  I love long weekends! 

Thankful Thursday

 I'm thankful for this guy and for my aunt Connie! Love when I get messages with pictures like these!

I'm thankful for a great race by Kylee on Tuesday! They just had a meet last Thursday so it was a pretty quick turnaround- also it was HOT and it is hilly at Valley but she really did well.  Jags won and she was the third Jag! Way to score points for your team, Kylee! We had both sets of grandparents plus Kase there cheering her on! Thankful for our village.

Kase is thankful for his new ride.  Oh boy.  Here we go.  He's been wanting one of these for-ev-er.  

Weekend Wrap-Up

Thursday night Kase had a football game- he wasn't feeling great but he got in the game and his team got the win! It was a beautiful night.

Kylee had a race in Cedar Rapids and Kent and his parents were there to cheer her on!

Friday night Kylee had XC then hung out with Sean. Kase played with friends then Tierney and Lola hung out here for awhile.  Since the kids were busy Kent and I went out for ice cream and when we got home they were all playing basketball together in the driveway- it was so sweet.

Saturday Kase hung out with friends.  Kylee had XC then went on an errand with Kent and me and then we went out for lunch. We officially got our house listed so that was excited but also nerve wracking! Later Kylee hung out with a friend and then later in the evening went for ice cream with Sean.  Kase hung out with friends all day.  They fished, they played here, they watched the Hawkeyes- he was busy and happy all day. 

Sunday Kylee went to church with friends and Kase slept in. After church Kase rode up to watch his friends play football.  Kent and I organized and sorted some things in the garage.  Kylee and a friend got their nails done. Later Kase played with friends and Kylee made her OTP flag with friends for Homecoming.  Kent ran something to Kael in Pella then I went up to watch Kylee and her friends at On the Prowl- the annual Homecoming kickoff event!

She had a great time with a fun team.  Looking forward to a great week ahead!
