Weekend Wrap-Up

I love when these 14 year olds still act like kids.  Last week it got hot and the boys didn't all feel like going to the pool so they decided to hook up the sprinkler on the trampoline and I have not heard them laugh that hard in a long time.  Pure joy.

Thursday we left for Edward Jones summer regionals! The Grand Geneva resort was absolutely gorgeous. We got checked in, had a quick dinner then loaded up for a boat tour of Lake Geneva.  The water was crystal clear, the sunset was amazing and the houses on that lake are unbelievable!

And the company is always great- Melanie loves Kael!

Kylee and Marlee had fun together all weekend.

Kase wowed people with his ability to do a walking flip off a tree, a backflip off a lifeguard stand and just his general athleticism and energy.

Kase spent all weekend hanging out with his buddy Hank.  They caught some nice fish! Here's Kase's best one.

Kael found us a really cool mini golf place in town! He got a hole in one on the first hole! He didn't want a picture but I made the girls take one.

This night was fun- we had a party on the pool deck and there was an NFL player having his rehearsal dinner *right* next to us at the hotel restaurant that opened to the pool area.

One day we took Kase and Hank to a wakeboard park.  I had never even known places like this existed and it was really cool! Of course, Hank and Kase got right up and by the end were doing some cool tricks!

Kael was a trooper and rode along with us that day and the girls stayed back and got some pool time in.  The final night was a fun murder mystery/90s dress up theme and Kylee and Marlee ran into some of our crowd in the lobby. So fun.

We hurried back to town Sunday so Kase could join his team for the games.  We went 2-0 on Sunday and won the championship in the silver bracket pretty easily! These boys are really starting to put it all together.  Kase had I think 4 RBI's and pitch efficiency was very high. He bombed one that missed going over the fence by just a few feet so all in all, a good weekend for our Kaser.

It feels good to be home and get things all back in order today before we pack up and leave again for the weekend.  Kent LOVES the Fourth of July and we have all our people coming to the lake so it's going to be a great week getting ready for it!
