Weekend Wrap-Up

Kylee shared a few more Barcelona pictures from her trip- Kent and I were able to take her out for dinner Wednesday  night and hear all about the trip so that was really fun!

Friday Kylee and I went to her orientation at Iowa. It was great to spend the day with her and I also got to meet her roommate and her family.

Kylee's boyfriend had been coordinating a plan with me since earlier in the week and he was able to meet us in Iowa City as orientation wrapped up and surprised her to come spend the weekend with her! She was so happy and so surprised.

Meanwhile Kase was at his friend's lake house just having the time of his life.

I made it back in town in time to meet up with Kent and his high school friends at Keith and Cindy's.  So good to see them all- they love reliving their glory days and telling (and retelling) their high school stories.

Keith and Cindy took Kael, Emma and Kase out for dinner and Kylee and Carter were also out for dinner and somehow we all ended up back here at the same time (Kent's high school friends too) so we had a full house and lots of laughs Friday night.

Kase had a tournament Saturday where we were happy to have one of his good buddy's Pierce subbing for us. Love him and his family. We went 2-0 which was just awesome!

Kylee, Carter and Kase went fishing when we got home and Carter caught this monster catfish! Then Kase went to the pool with a friend, Kael went to play poker with his friends and we drove Kylee and Carter by the house. Later those two went out for dinner.

Sunday Kylee was baptized! The rain canceled baseball for the day so Kent and Kase were able to be there too. Such a special day for her.  Very proud.

Since we were the 1st seed after pool play yesterday and all games were canceled for today that means our baseball team were the champs! First time all season!!

We had a lovely lunch at Grimaldi's after church then Kael headed off to work. Kase spent the day hanging with a friend. Kent and I went for a walk once the rain cleared and grilled steaks for dinner. It was a great day!
