Weekend Wrap-Up

Kase and his friend were badminton champs!

Kylee had a fun Galentine's night with her friends on Friday. 

I took Kase and his buddy snowboarding/skiing at Sundown in Dubuque. I had never been there before- such a cool place.

Beautiful views, cool ski lodge and the boys just had a blast.

We made a quick stop to visit Keith, Cindy, Kellen and Krue at the waterpark hotel nearby and had dinner with them- so fun! Meanwhile Kylee was in Iowa City meeting up with a friend to go to the Hawkeye game.  Kent went to Grinnell to watch Kael throw- he made finals but his back is bothering him so he still wasn't quite pleased with how he threw but I just want his back to feel better so I hope he takes good care of himself.

Kent made his way over to us in Dubuque after watching Kael and hung with us through the next morning.  It was another beautiful day on the slopes!

My buddy was so happy all weekend. 

We got home Sunday evening and Kael and Emma were over so it was great to see them and get to spend a little time together! Kent had come home earlier than Kase and me so he grilled steaks for everyone.  

Today is a no school day and it looks like it's going to be another beautiful day!
 

Weekend Wrap-Up

We kicked this weekend off with dinner at our favorite place with our favorite friends.  We had a family Fantasy Football league against them and we lost so we owed them dinner out.  Missing Kael and Kaelyn but had a fun night with our crew and did a little duck pin bowling after.

Kase has been keeping busy with basketball. It's been an interesting season but I think he's having fun!

Saturday Cindy and I went to watch Kael throw at Wartburg. He didn't do as well as he hoped but he has a lot of season left and we were happy to get to see him! 

Sunday was my dad's birthday. We went to church with my mom and dad then took them out for brunch to celebrate.  Fun start to our day and I was so happy to get to see my dad on his birthday! Later that afternoon it was nice enough for Kent and I to take a walk outside. Thankful for the sunshine.  For the SuperBowl we had a few plans- Kylee was with her friends, Kase was invited to hang out with his friend and we were all also planning to go watch the game with our best family friends.  It was a great night!

Weekend Wrap-Up

 We had a fun weekend celebrating my dad's 70th! His actual birthday is next weekend but it was really important to us to find a time where all 15 of us could be together and Sunday night was it!

We had the best time dressing up representing different times in Dad's life! My mom also had set out a bunch of scrapbooks and photo albums and we loved looking through them and sharing memories.  We enjoyed Dad's favorite bundt cakes before heading out to dinner at Jethro's.  Such a fun family night and there's no one who deserves to be celebrated more than my dad! He's just the best! 

I represented his Farm Credit days, Mandy represented Sheffield/pig farming and Tam was a pickleball player!

Thankful for such a fun night with the family.

The rest of the weekend was spent as weekends have usually gone around here- Kase hits the slopes and hangs out with friends, Kylee worked and also hit the slopes.  Kael threw in Grinnell and lots of the fam got to go watch him. Kent and I had dinner out Friday night and Kase and one of his best buddies joined us. I had time to watch my niece play volleyball and I also got to take Kase shopping for a new snowboard- we didn't buy one yet but sure had fun looking!
