Happy Birthday, Kael!

 Happy 20th birthday, Kael!

What a year this guy is having.  Kael has been working SO hard- lifting heavy and really making strides in his throwing events! Earlier this year he cracked the top 100 in DIII for Hammer Throw and has continued to PR almost every meet since then! While I'm always happy for my kids when they have success, it's truly not about them winning or losing- I'm just so very proud to see his hard work and determination pay off! Track has become really important to him this season and it's been a to watch.

Since he's away at college, Kael is the kid I see the least often which is what makes it so very sweet either when we can go to meets to support him or he can come home to spend the weekend with us.  He'll be home for Easter next weekend and I'm counting down the days!

Kael continues to be just so solid and steady.  I would rely on that kid for anything and continue to be impressed with his never-shaken demeanor.  We could all learn a lot from Kael. He never gets too fired up or too disappointed about anything.  He's just always good and even if he's not, you'd probably never know because he never shows it.

Central has been a great fit for Kael and he has made a lot of great friends.  He and his lovely girlfriend seem as happy as ever.

He is an absolute joy to spend time with and I'm so thankful I got to spend the whole day with him yesterday cheering him on and just hanging out with him between his throws. He's just one of the good ones.  Love you, Kael!!! Hope you have a great day and we can't wait to celebrate you when you come home next weekend!!

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful Kylee had a good track meet the other night and thankful for everyone who comes out to support my kids!

I'm thankful Kent and Kase have a fun weekend ahead in Branson and that Keith and Cindy can join them! I'm also thankful my parents will be around so we can all divide and conquer to make sure all three kids have spectators at their events this weekend!

I'm thankful this week is almost over- it's been a long one!

I'm thankful Keith and Cindy took Kael out for lunch this week- how fun!

I'm thankful for my moms help while I was busy this week. She did my laundry and ran some errands for me- moms are the best!

Happy Thursday!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Super busy week and weekend so I'll just post lots of pictures to try to catch up!

Sean asked Kylee to Prom after her track meet- so sweet!

Kael has been KILLING it at his meets.  PR'd in both hammer and discus this weekend! I'm always so happy for him and thrilled when the family can be there to support him. He's been working so hard and it's paying off!

Kent and Kase spent some of their weekend organizing fishing lures and just hanging out together- they had such a nice day Saturday! Kase has also been spending tons of time with his friends which always makes him happy.

Saturday was Prom! Kylee had a fun day with her friend getting hair done and getting lunch and Starbucks, then I spent the afternoon with her at her makeup appointment.

Sean and Kylee were absolutely stunning.  Love these two.

Ha.  Flower holder!

Clearly I wasn't the only one taken by their good looks- a reporter from the Register asked to photograph them and later they ended up as the feature photo that was posted about Prom!

In the end, I think they had a great night.  After Prom sounds like it was even more fun than the dance!

And Sunday I got to see my little buddy play baseball!!! It was a beautiful day and he played so well.  Really happy for him- he's been putting a lot of work in!

Go Kaser! Baseball season is back!

Busy weekend leads right into a busy week- I have to report for Jury Duty this morning!!
