I'm thankful for a fun, family weekend ahead!!!
Thursday Kent and Kase left for Branson and went fishing! They spent the rest of the weekend with our baseball fam- playing ball and having fun between games. Love that Keith and Cindy were able to go to Branson for the weekend too!
Friday night Kylee and I had an early night so she could get up to run at Drake Saturday. My parents were able to go watch her which was awesome! She ran the 4x800 and then was there the entire day and a half hour before the final race, one of the 4x 400 runners was not able to run so Kylee filled in. Happy for her that she was able to step in at the last minute!
Kylee and I went out for Mexican when I got back to town then we had another early night- both tired from our long days at the track!
Sunday Kylee slept in so I watched church online then went for a walk, did some errands and cleaned. When she got up we went for brunch- it's been nice to be able to spend so much time with her this weekend! Later I watched Kase's team on Game Changer- they won so they got to play another game! Kylee did homework then a bible study with a friend. Later Kylee had dinner with a friend, I went for a walk and grabbed dinner. It was a great weekend!
Happy 20th birthday, Kael!
What a year this guy is having. Kael has been working SO hard- lifting heavy and really making strides in his throwing events! Earlier this year he cracked the top 100 in DIII for Hammer Throw and has continued to PR almost every meet since then! While I'm always happy for my kids when they have success, it's truly not about them winning or losing- I'm just so very proud to see his hard work and determination pay off! Track has become really important to him this season and it's been a to watch.
Since he's away at college, Kael is the kid I see the least often which is what makes it so very sweet either when we can go to meets to support him or he can come home to spend the weekend with us. He'll be home for Easter next weekend and I'm counting down the days!
Kael continues to be just so solid and steady. I would rely on that kid for anything and continue to be impressed with his never-shaken demeanor. We could all learn a lot from Kael. He never gets too fired up or too disappointed about anything. He's just always good and even if he's not, you'd probably never know because he never shows it.
Central has been a great fit for Kael and he has made a lot of great friends. He and his lovely girlfriend seem as happy as ever.
He is an absolute joy to spend time with and I'm so thankful I got to spend the whole day with him yesterday cheering him on and just hanging out with him between his throws. He's just one of the good ones. Love you, Kael!!! Hope you have a great day and we can't wait to celebrate you when you come home next weekend!!
I'm thankful Kylee had a good track meet the other night and thankful for everyone who comes out to support my kids!
I'm thankful Kent and Kase have a fun weekend ahead in Branson and that Keith and Cindy can join them! I'm also thankful my parents will be around so we can all divide and conquer to make sure all three kids have spectators at their events this weekend!
I'm thankful this week is almost over- it's been a long one!
I'm thankful Keith and Cindy took Kael out for lunch this week- how fun!
I'm thankful for my moms help while I was busy this week. She did my laundry and ran some errands for me- moms are the best!
Happy Thursday!
Super busy week and weekend so I'll just post lots of pictures to try to catch up!
Sean asked Kylee to Prom after her track meet- so sweet!
