Weekend Wrap-Up

Kylee got the Spirit of the Jag award last week! So proud of her for being recognized. She is so very deserving of this award.

Kase wrapped up his wrestling season with a big win on a big stage- they got to wrestle at Centennial and Kase beat a guy who got second place at state last year!

Friday I got to go watch Kael throw at his first meet of the season! He PR'd!!!! So proud of him. Love that so many of us were able to go watch him- Keith, Cindy, Kent and I all went and my Aunt Connie even came to watch too!

Saturday Kael got home! So excited to have him here for a few weeks.  Kase was back on the slopes with a buddy that day and the rest of us had a lazy day here besides Kylee who basically worked all weekend!

Sunday we had our annual girls cookie baking day.  Had the loveliest time with my parents, sisters and nieces- and Kylee and Emma too of course!

Got to see Brooklyn's new car! It's so cute and perfect for her.

Kael hung out for a bit too. He and Grandpa took a walk out back and he also joined for a few games. He's a good sport joining our baking day so that his girlfriend can be a part of it!

Weekend Wrap-Up

We had alllll the winter and holiday fun this weekend!

Thursday after Kase's wrestling meet we got back into town and wanted to grab dinner at our favorite neighborhood Mexican restaurant only to find out there was a long wait because they are going out of business today! So, we ventured to a new spot and loved all the Christmas decorations!

Friday Keith and Cindy took a whole gang of boys to 7 Oaks as Kent and I had plans with his high school friends. So very thankful for Keith and Cindy for taking the boys! They LOVE snowboarding under the lights and Kent and I had a great night too.  Rudolph's Rooftop downtown is so cute!

Kylee was busy all weekend with work.  She did manage to squeeze in a little time with friends at the tree lighting in The District! Kase was back on the slopes with his buddies again all day Saturday so Kent and I went to Dazzling in the District and had fun walking around all the cute shops and then the snow started to fall and it looked like a Hallmark movie! So fun and festive.

Saturday night Kase went with his buddies to a hockey game.  He really was living his best life this weekend.

Sunday we went to Kael's concert in Pella- he did so good! It was decorated so nicely for Christmas too.  So thankful for the family that all came to support him! Love that he is involved with music at Central!

We took Kael and Emma out for dinner after and it was lovely to spend time with them as always.  And we got some cute pictures- the lights in the square in Pella are so pretty!

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful for a fun shopping day with my parents.  Nearly every year we find a day for me to go with them to some cute, fun shops and just get in the holiday spirit.  We didn't find a lot to buy but we did have a great morning and lovely lunch together and a lovely!

I'm thankful Kase is still having fun at wrestling.  It's a mental battle for him for sure but he works his heart out and I love to see him have some success. Also thankful that when he lost his mouth guard between matches the other night, his opponent happened to get injured and had to scratch so Kase didn't have to forfeit.  That kid.  Man, if we can just get him to keep track of his stuff...he's really going places I just know it!

Happy Thursday!
